Along with many Bostonians I will never forget the tragedy of the marathon bombings. Living in this amazing city for 6 years has taught me how strong the community is through thick and thin. I remember being on “lock down” in my apartment with my boyfriend and our roommate, we were all devastated and still a little nervous as we waited to here that the bomber had been captured, but the strongest emotion was definitely rage. We just wanted to get a huge group of people and beat up that terrible person who did this to our city. Until this moment I had never felt so territorially over the city I call home and I knew I wasn’t alone in that feeling. Boston will forever be strong and the marathon this year will continue to prove it.
